Expect to Feel Welcomed.

Visiting a new church can be intimidating.

But when you come to Grace, we want to make you feel at home.

We're all imperfect.

None of us has it all together, so you don’t have to worry. We won’t judge you for who you are, what you wear, or how little you know. We’ll just be thrilled that you’re here.

We all need the BIble.

We believe the Bible alone can answer our greatest needs. That is why we believe and teach what the Bible actually says and why it matters. Every time we gather, you can expect to see the Bible open and being applied to you’re life.

We all need Jesus.

Our church is filled with people at all different stages. Some have been followers of Jesus for decades, and others are just getting started. But all of us still need Jesus just the same. So however new you are to this, you’ll be in good company.

We'd love to meet you!

When you come...

You can expect to be warmly greeted by us before you even walk in the door. We know it can be confusing finding out where to go. Members of our Welcome Team will be outside and in the lobby to assist you, answering any questions you might have, and giving you directions to wherever you need to go.

If you’re considering visiting with us, we invite you to let us know by planning your visit below. You’re not required to do this at all. It only helps us know to expect you so we can better serve you when you arrive!

COMMON QUESTIONS

What are Sundays like?

Sunday begins with our main worship service at 9:30am, where we will worship together and hear a message from God’s Word from our pastor. Children have a special service for their age groups during the morning worship time. Following the service, there are Sunday School classes for children and teens beginning at 11:00am, as well as several fellowship groups for Adults. A nursery is also available during Sunday School and the main worship service. The Sunday evening worship service begins at 6:00pm.

Where do I go?

We are located at 416 Denham Ave in West Columbia. The church grounds are on both sides of Denham Ave. Our main auditorium is on the west side of Denham (street view). You will find our Welcome Team out at a tent in the parking lot and at the welcome desk just inside the foyer of the main auditorium building. They will be there to assist you with directions and answering any questions you may have.

What do my children do?

Children at Grace Baptist Church have special services with activities and messages that are age specific. Children ages 4 through 6th grade will come to the morning worship service with their parents, and be dismissed before the message for their special services. Junior Church (1st-6th grade) is held next to the auditorium in the Hansen Chapel, and PreK Church (ages 3-5) is in the Lorick Fellowship Hall. After the morning service, the Junior Church workers escort all children to Sunday School, held in our Elementary school classrooms.

What about infants and toddlers?

The Williamson Church Nursery provides a pleasant, spacious, and well-equipped nursery building. Our group of caring nursery workers are eager to look after your infants and toddlers during all services and Sunday school.

What do people typically wear when attending services?

There is no dress code at Grace Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in a more traditional “Sunday” style. Others dress more casually. However, our main goal is that you feel welcome and comfortable during your visit here at Grace!

I am not a Baptist…. May I attend services at Grace Baptist Church?

Yes. It is our desire that anyone seeking to know more about the Lord attend our services. You do not have to be a Baptist or come from a Baptist background to attend. We make it easy for anyone wanting to know more about Christ, the Bible, and church by focusing all of our teaching and preaching on the Word of God. You will find our members warm, friendly, and wanting to welcome you to worship with us.

What goes on during the week?
