Sunday School
During our Sunday school hour, we have each class divided up by grade to provide a better opportunity for our kids to get to know their peers on a more personal level. Each class is instructed by a screened and trained teacher that has a passion for working alongside your child.
Junior Church
While the adults are worshiping in the main auditorium, your children will have their own worship service with singing, preaching, object lessons, Scripture memory, and contests. It is a lot of fun as well as rewarding. Junior church is for students in grades 1 through 6. The beginner church leaders minister to the four and five year olds.
Awana
Awana is an international, Bible-centered children’s ministry which has been used at Grace Baptist Church for over 30 years. The Awana program at Grace Baptist Church is for preschool (K3) through sixth grade children. The program trains children with the gospel of Christ by memorizing bible verses, listening to counsel messages, and having fun during game time. As your child goes through the program, they earn awards for what they accomplish. The adult leadership sets the example in a Christian environment showing their love for their Savior. Over the years, we have seen children saved and in their adult life come back to the program as adult leaders. We follow the school year for starting and ending the program. We have special events such as the Awana Grand Prix, Awana games, Bible quizzing, mother/daughter and father/son nights, as well as other exciting activities. The program changes each year so that your child is exposed to different activities. Your child may start at any time during the year, but the leadership would love to see them finish through the sixth grade knowing more about Jesus and possibly even accepting him as Savior.
Youth League
If your child loves sports then we have some wonderful opportunities for them to get involved! We offer intramural leagues in a Christ honoring environment for any child between the ages of 4-12. The goal is to teach them the rules and regulations along with developing their skills. Soccer is on Saturday mornings in the fall and baseball is during the week in the springtime. We have an open registration for any child eligible.
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
Every summer we have a week dedicated to reaching out to young boys and girls in our community. Our goal is to reach the lost and continue to mature young believers in their walk with the Lord. Each year we have a different theme and guest speaker.
Junior Camp
Each summer we take your Jr. and Sr. High teens to a Christian Camp. The purpose of the summer camp is to get your kids away from the pressures, distractions, and routines of everyday life. Camp provides a godly environment where they will be challenged to spiritual change, encouraged in their walk with the Lord, and confronted with their need of Christ. They will also make new friends and have a lot a fun! This is one of the greatest opportunities for life-changing decisions in the life of your child. We STRONGLY encourage every parent to have their child(ren) go to the summer camp. It is a spiritual investment you won’t regret.
